When should we have SG Day?

Pretty sure we should keep the options to May.

Damien has some stuff for all weekends of May. He said he probably has the least stuff on May 5, so that might be a good choice. For me, I prefer either the 19th or the 5th, because I might be taken away by work on the other two weekends. I'll certainly still try to post on those weekends but it might not be any more than a regular Saturday. 19th also edges out the 5th for me because I might do some stuff for my birthday, but I'll still be around mostly. My biggest concern with the 5th is it's maybe a bit too soon, especially if we don't decide like today, I guess about two weeks notice is enough though, so I'm setting this poll to expire in 5 days. Damien seems fine with any weekend, but I don't want to decide unilaterally without any feedback on what availability others might have. So I'm putting it as a poll, because my comment/suggestion thread hasn't gotten much feedback from others.

On 5th May my mother in law is over to pick wedding dresses, on 12th May I have a whole load of people over for Eurovision weekend, on 19th May, I’m down in London for my sisters birthday, on 26th May, I’m helping a friend with a 12 hour charity stream.

5th is the only one where I see myself being able to post at all. Certainly won’t be able to get to a computer on at least 12th and 19th.

Okay, that pushes my preference to the 5th. Still would be good to get feedback from other regulars though.

I am on my way back from Germany on the 5th, so I picked the 19th. But I never make an unusual effort on SG Day anyway, so don’t worry too much about me.

Check both of the news posts on the main page. It's a 1 day a year thing where old SG members are beckoned back. We've done it for the previous 3 years.
