I'm replaying at the moment; Edea is about tokick my ass in Deling :<
an instable PSP version. Keeps hanging on me.

anyway, obviously one of the best games out there with Triple Triad as it's high point

Was just saying to my housemate the other day that FFVIII was about 10 years ago

Conversation came up when I remarked at how high the price of importing FFXIII would be, then remembered that it's about the same as I paid for VIII TEN years ago.

VIII is still my favourite, or at least up there as one of my favourites.
Not tempted to replay though.

Wonder if they'll manage to make FFVI better, or totally balls it up when they get around to making a 3D (DS) remake?

Final Fantasy VIII on the PSP might persuade me to replay it.
The Japanese PSN store has tons of PS1 Squaresoft games, but no FFVIII or IX.

That's because of the firmware not being able to handle ff8 or ff9 as it's supposed to. it just keeps freezing up. Whereas ff7 is a breeze (thus far)

The RDM replayed VIII last yearish. It was "meh", just like the first two times. VIII will always exist for the RDM as the beginning of the long and tragic decline of SE.

I don't have a PSP (the fact they changed the console annually kept the price up, and put me off), but both my housemates do.
When VIII goes up on the American or UK store, I'll be borrowing

I imagine it'll make its way to bitorrent soon enough. It's the only FF I haven't replayed recently. By recently, I mean the last year or two. I don't play games that much anymore... (I say, though I'm alternating between RE5, Dissidia and KH right now)
