HOT FFVII REMAKE NEWS - yes a thread that’s on topic

... ok I guess. I’m not trying to be funny, but if it makes your day fun I can live with it. Like my grandpa used to say ʽnobody knows what a computer is. It just works. Just... Alright - three more moments of silence, then make sure you win in the last one I guess. * Start. * Very well... As you were. Not a single member in the room disagrees with you. Not that you wouldn't if you could hear them. * silence * Okay, okay, we're all voting in this thread. How do you want the result? * vote overvote throwaway "Trying to run a campaign on hate and derailing threads with irrelevant arguments like misogyny and Gamer things is going to get you nowhere”

When you go into the game with so much averse to new ideas (represented by the Tranquil Ending) and you have a mind that cannot distinguish between "must have" and "does not matter" due to having used up all those chocobo legs on dungbombing for so long, I can't blame you for being confused and turning to a different FFVII (which is that it is literally FFVII:A for the R-rated masses). I haven't taken notes on the Advent Children scenes (don't have them on hand) so I cannot really speak to the overall entertainment value of the game.
The game does not reveal the source of FFVII:R's cute humor. I had never heard it before reading The Bodhisattva Vow, but FFVII:R's humor seems to be inspired from classic WWII cartoons. For example, save for Lloyd in Yuffie's story in the tale of Sephiroth's wish, few characters in FFVII:R laugh. FFVII:R is clever at nailing the spirit of story that has sprung up in many manga and anime including (in fact) the only-dared-to-tell-the-truth Harry Potter manga.
And yes. I do have a FFVII:R tattoo and I’ve had it since 2016. I might as well leave it at that. Now here are the two pages that can be accessed using my near-90 page external link.

Who are you. You haven’t even finished this game. And you dare call yourself a gamer, posting here?WaWard wrote:I think this is a good idea. It would be so unethical if to give an award to myself and it should disprove it is me instantly.
If it makes you feel any better, I guess I can understand why you feel so put out. The term gamer has gone from being an umbrella term to nothing but an insult. So the thing is…
I'm a gamer, you know. I guess I am a gamer. And so am you.

Amazing that after years of waiting for this game, it really was just a flash in the pan.
I started playing Animal Crossing before FFVIIR came out and while I'm still playing AC daily, FFVIIR seems little more than a distant memory now.
Is there any official news on what's next for the series? PS5 "remaster", I'm guessing.

I thought it was a great game, though the buzz around it was amazingly and surprisingly ephemeral for something so many of us have been waiting most of our lives for. Most of the deschushion was just about the twist. If the story alterations weren't present, would the game be even less of a big deal?
