I still can't make up my mind about who is the better composer. Yuki Kajiura or Yoko Kanno, I mean...they have the exact same initials!!!1 I CANT CHOOSE!!12òne

I think i fit in with the 'Bebop music...great in the anime..not really worth listening outside' group. Where as the Ghost In The Shell and Wolfs Rain OSTs i could listen to anytime. Listenning to music outside of anime is dependant on your personal taste.

Yuki Kajura is a great composer but after listening to several of her works her style becomes repetitve and unoriginal. Yoko Kanno on the otherhand is contanstly experimenting with different styles of music while keeping a distinct regonizable quality. It's why I find her to be my favorite composer of all time. Lately, I've been really been getting into Iwasaki Taku works, as I love his darker tones that keep a serene sound to it.

I don't see how anyone can say that Kajiura > Kanno. Maybe if you've only heard one Kajiura work vs. one Kanno work, but Kanno offers a different experience every time, where as Kajiura.... .... .... yeah.

Loved the Kenshin tsuiokuhen & seisouhen soundtracks. Not to mention R.O.D's too. :check :E

Those were both great soundtracks but I thought his work on Get Backers was his best stuff. All of his works in general are great and you can't help love everything he does.

No way, his Kenshin OVA stuff is by far the best, followed by ROD and NTHT.

You're just a whore for the Kenshin OAV. :p
I love all of his works but Get Backers had a lot of songs that I liked. I'm surprised you didn't list Witch Hunter Robin.

WHR right behind

No, I don't particularly like Seisouhen but I acknowledge the score as top-notch (I was referring to both OVAs).
