"and for the lady?" "a greasy fry up please&q

Post by Bazz »

What a day I have had, there's a lot of politics going on at work recently with one of my good mates, the well loved Bill, being sacked as well as a few people quiting.
I work in the shop next to our company flag ship (our park lane branch) so go out drinking with those chaps and chappetes in an attempt to keep them interesting, it doesn't hurt my enthusiasm that many of the most attractive girls from our 2750 shops are sent to work in this shop.
So anyway, one of these girls got given Bills shop, causing a mini rebellion as she seriously skipped the waiting list of people due promotion, I was caught in the middle as most people in out district don't get to meet the park lane girls and I do. So I decided the best solution was to take some park lane girls out on the piss with Sammy, the true next in line for Bill's shop. What a night, I danced my arse off, drank shit loads and had a bloody nice night.

The surprising element was that Emma and Katy, who in my opinion are the two most attractive girls that came out, seemed to take a shine to me, not just that but Katy in particular seemed to take a shine in an amasingly endearing way, I took her home in a cab, and on the trip we arranged for me to take her out. I offered some nice restaurants where I know the staff, but she wasn't interested, she wants me to take her for a fry up down in south London. I think I might be her bit of rough, brilliant. :D :D She's a spot on girl, and if I can charm her with a fecking fry up then I might have to marry her to be honest.

Also, Emma phoned me a few minutes ago and wants lunch with me in a cafe near work, not a shite cafe, but still pretty down market for the area.... I bought them both roses from the rose seller guy outside the club, he wanted £3 a rose, I gave him "2.50 for both and told him to "jog on" otherwise, being a tight fuck seems to pay sometimes.

Umm, as a topic... Anyone know a decent greasy spoon in central/south London?

Don't take her to Tooting's poons. It might be near Undine Street, but other than that it's one of the shittiest poons ever :o

Anyways, where in South London does she want to go exactly? :erm

Oh and congrats! :ruroken

I've just discovered The Shed (Bar situated on campus, it's where my work group meets for beer and planning :p) does a MAHOOSIVE all day fry up.

I'm gonna be so fat by the end of the year.

A fry up is a traditional and fairly unhealthy meal (as it's name suggests) commonly eaten by builders for breakfast, it is a fairly decent way to start the day if you drank too much the night before. Owing to the fact that you probably can't be arsed to cook a fry up if you drank the night before most fry ups are purchased in a café (pronounced caff) often referred to as "greasy spoons" due to the general ambiance of many of these establishments.]
A LFM is a large flat mushroom, notably served in a variety of ways by Weatherspoon's pubs, they're not seen in many places outside weatherspoons as they less enjoyable to eat then most other forms of mushroom. Button mushrooms grow into closed cup and then large flat mushrooms if not picked, most places pick them earlier as they are nicer that way.

I'm not really going to take her out for a fry up, I think it'd be a bad move. She was complaining that she's sick of all the posh food and restaurants near park lane but I think some medium between that and a cafe is the best bet. I might take her to that restaurant in Surrey Quays and tell them it's her birthday so they do all the crap with the music and cake and stuff, that'd be pretty funny for me but I dunno if it's as charming as it is amusing...

Like I said, take her for a McD's.
Either that or go to The Yaught. The girl from work says the food's really good, AND it's not a posh restaurant.

Actually it's particularly the context that makes it confusing to me. He says "I might be" after saying how she's the one who wants to go for fry up. I don't get that at all. It needs explaining. If he said she might be a bit of rough, I would sort of get it, but this way I just don't follow what it means.

I can see why you're confused. I wasn't completely serious about the bit of rough thing but it was her asking for a fry up that made me say it. If she was well known for eating fry ups and then asked for one then it wouldn't give the same impression, but as having a fry up would be unusual for her the fact that she wants me to take her for one implies that she considers me as the sort of person who knows a good greasy spoon when he sees one.
It makes sense to me, and apparently the RDM....

There's a slight change in plan, I decided that asking her out for lunch was a bit lame and predictable, so I asked her if she wanted to go see the Chinese State Circus with me. She said she'd like to so it's all good :) Plus I figure I can throw in lunch/drinks afterwards too, it's bound to be easier to suggest going for drinks during the Chinese circus then suggesting going to the Chinese circus during drinks...

Hopefully it's not shit....
