I never heard anything about coronavirus until after I got back from Japan. Were I there a week later, I might have encountered it over there, or at least had people worry that I had.

My work has now published advice and guidance on Coronavirus. Usual sickness and leave policy remains though (aka one that penalises you based on number of instances of sick leave alone, with no context taken into account).
