I’ve be n using the Shenmue avatars thread :p
Played about 2 hours of it. It’s very much still Shenmue. I thought modern quality of life elements would make the game feel totally different but it so far plays just like on old Shenmue game. Looks a bit better though. Maybe PS3 better.

Fewer people have PS3s than PS4s now.

Playing Shenmue III with my wife, so it's going to be quite slow (normally play most of my games while she's out). Hopefully get it finished by Christmas, when Death Stranding is a fiver!

The dodgy, disjointed dialogue and graphical clipping is perfect! Makes me wonder what was done intentionally, and what was a result of cutting corners.

We’re still slowly meandering around the opening area. As far I know, the entire game might be set in this area though.

I hope there are many sailors to discover :check

I’ve decided I won’t play this until I complete a replay of 1 and 2 which I will undertake post Stranding of Death

Finally finished Shenmue III today, after playing an hour or so of it with my wife a couple of nights a week (if that) since launch.

It's very much a Shenmue game, for better or for worse. Given that the game was meant to push a story that had been on an almost two decade hiatus forward, I was unimpressed at how little it moved the story along...

Given that the game barely made a ripple outside of the Kickstarter backers makes me wonder how long it'll be before the next in the series is out. I wouldn't put money on it being ever.
