Hey dudz. Remember the good old LucasArts point and click games (aka the best P&C games in the whole world)? Would you like to play them on almost any machine (including some consoles)? Get SCUMMVM. You get to play it on your PS2, PC, and even psp. I'm playing full throttle now. This game is owns. It even stars Mark Hamil! Next on the list is the early monkey island games, which I've never played, then sam & max and day of the tentacle. I'm in complete glee.
PSP version controls pretty well, surprisingly enough. The cursor movement is handled by the nub, meaning that it's not as precise as it should be, but should do the job. The keyboard interface is totally awesome, however, and should be that way in any videogame with analog controls requiring alphanumerical input. <3

Oh and they need to get that shit on the DS asap. That shit would be red hawt! <3

I remember playing those type of games, I loved them. My favorite gem that I stumbled upon, used, for 5 bucks, at FuncoLand a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGG time ago, was Indiana Jones and something to do with Atlantis. There were different ways of playing I remember, guts (fist), intelligence, etc. etc. I loved the fist fights in that game

Oooooh I need this on the DS, the touch screen would be perfect for point and click games
Wonder why no one is developping new point and clicks for the DS actually (or maybe someone is and I just don't know about it
), I can totally imagine that genre getting popular again
Fate of the Atlantis was so awesome, and Sam and Max, and Monkey Island 2, and my all time favourite Day of the Tentacle...

Hmmm so when are we gonna make an old skool LucasArts avatar set?...
Damn I don't think I have my DotT sig on this computer, need to check my old files from 2000

With the DS wouldn't it be more like just point and eliminate the click?Calbrena wrote:Oooooh I need this on the DS, the touch screen would be perfect for point and click gamesWonder why no one is developping new point and clicks for the DS actually (or maybe someone is and I just don't know about it

OIC. I never really played point and click games too much, so I don't know what goes on I guess. I played peasant's Quest, but that's really more text based....in fact I guess there's no pointing or clicking at all, but for some reason I imagine it's what point and click games are like.

Guys I got this emulator on my nokia 6680, and with 1gb of memory I intalled tentacle, atlantis, and sam N Max, Beneath Steel Sky. Ruuns perfectly, no hitches
Now I got all the classic mario's, and classic point and click games on my phone
screw paying 5 bucks for each game on my service.
Anyone know good torrent for Day of tentacle, with voice, but under 80mb? I have a smaller one with just story voices.. (only 13mb!) but you can't read text on small cell phone screen

You use the little directional pad it has.
Nokia 6680, like most 6 series smartphones have directional pads. Also the screen is long vertically. So you just flip it on its side (like an NGAGE) because the screen is viewed that way.
Beneath a Steel Sky is a bit difficult because you can't see the text. Atlantis is pefect, DOTT is fine if you can hear voices (text is too small).
I haven't put monkey island yet, I'll see if it works. Not sure if it works on Scumm, ,does it?

Yeah its fucking great. But Sam N Max sucks because of the interface it has. Haven't tried full throttle
out of all these games, which ones are talkies? The ones I know of so far are Beneath a Steel Sky, DOTT, Atlantis, The Broken Sword series..Simon The Sorceror, Thats about all I know.
Is Monkey Island talkie? I have both of them on my comp..but I don't think they are talkies.
Wish Scumm supported Police quests, and King's quest, as well as Ultima's. Is Kings Quest 7 supported by it?
