Hi. So Interpol's Antics is out, I listened to it, and while it's not as good as the first album, it's still pretty good.

*waits and sees that no one cares except perhaps fro, who won't read that topic anyway*

I saw an interview about their new album that I thought was funny. "Yeah, some songs are more upbeat... but they're still about my life sucking!"

I've had antics for a few months now.. it grew on me, I guess. I only like em cause I like Joy Division *cough hack ripoff vocals*, not much of a "dirge played by men in suits" person.. though I'll give Interpol credit for pulling that off quite well.

The only two b-sides of theirs I've heard (Precipitate and The Specialist) are the closest thing they've done to truly upbeat music, heh.

speaking of which, anyone else heard the HORRIBLE AWFUL RUMORS that moby is producing a Joy Division movie? :(

I don't think I really like Interpol

I'll probably still keep the cd tho as I hate to delete music.

I've been listening to The Arcade Fire - Funeral a lot lately, even though it's not that great as a CD it has a few really awesome songs.

Also why is Sparta 1000000000x better than The Mars Volta

the arcade fire is hella interesting, not feeling the first song you sent but you need to send me more - I feel the potential

and it's because pitchfork has no idea what they're doing with music reviews about 40% of the time - and people do so love blindly following pitchfork

Pitchfork is neat but I had to stop taking them seriously when I saw reviews for The Fragile (2.0) and Lateralus (1.9), two of my fav CDs~!

Well, on the 18th of October here in Europe the new Children of Bodom EP/DVD comes out, so I am quite happy about that! I have already heard three of the four songs on it, two covers and the original, I just need to hear the track Knuckleduster. But if its anything like Trashed, Lost and Strungout I am gonna like it. :E

I just recently discovered a band from Oulu, Finland called Catamenia, who sound REALLY cold. Theyve been around a bit but the US never gets their cds. My roomate tells me their newer stuff isnt as good tho.

And i cant stop listening to the new Ensiferum album Iron. Nothing gets you wanting to charge into battle and drink mead afterward like it :E

Man I just bought the new Tool album. Ignore the troll I've made earlier. While I do believe that many bands in that thread are better than tool, it's still a good album. And it was dirt cheap ($5 for the BBQ?).

Gnarls Barkley is next week. :E
