What does it feel like living in the future? Tell us your secrets! How do I shot web?

It's still Friday morning here... for all of 20 minutes.

There are so many FF spin-offs I can't keep up. Are the Record Keeper and Pictlogica games fun?

ff13 is fun. it's as fun as any other game. y'all just need to be less critical of THINGS.
Record keeper is fun but grindy. It's more fun in a "omg nostalgia!!!! OMG POST-SNES CHARACTERS AS SPRITES KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" sense, but still fun.

Pictlogica is... it's not bad. Picross meets FF? I haven't played it since I started RK tho.

Also, the future is a terrible place full of quakes and volcanoes. Stay in the past.

The start of Record Keeper was tedious and I never got past it. Can't say I've heard of the other game. I enjoyed each FF13 game less than the last though, even though Lightning Returns was a technically superior game. Too mush bullshit for me.

Looks like SG Day is already a moderate success and it's not even Saturday here yet! :tea

I dislike FFXIII. It seems like there's almost no point in choosing actions for several hours into the game and the story is boring that far into it also, so I stopped playing at like 10 hours or so. I remember when I was still bored with FFXII at that point I kept tricking myself into thinking things would pick up soon and it would get better. I played through the whole thing and it never did.

Well, they mostly use bags with shitty cut up leaf scraps, so they're at a disadvantage right from the start.

Oh yeah, it was "Himura," but that's close enough to "himuro" to me since I don't know Japanese.

But even so they never seem to follow the instructions on the bag for basic things like steeping. My guess is that they thing tea is like coffee, I'm not sure.

it is TOTALLY official. you told me to make it!!

also, Record Keeper is good if you can get through the 9 hour tutorial. All Squenix mobile games have 9 hour tutorials, like you can't figure shit out on your own, or have never played, you know, a game. Once you do, it's okay.

Piclogica is still only in nipponese at the mo.

How is it on content? Like, do you have to pay for pretty much everything? I don't trust Square mobile games after FF:ATB, which cost money then turned out to have zero gameplay and charge again for anything remotely cool (my old review here http://hypeup.net/index.php/site/news/f ... t_reviewed)

record keeper? there seems to be constant events (where you can grind your way to itams and get characters (recently Celes, Lenna, Vanille at the mo)), lots of dungeons.

You can pay for mythril, which you can use for extra item slots (not stricly necessary), continues in battles (also not strictly necessary) and the rare item draw (also not strictly necessary, but nice).

But you don't HAVE to buy them. You get mythril pretty frequently just from doing plot battles and daily dungeons. I don't see myself buying mythril. Mythril is less scammy and horrid than Flooz.

And does it play like an actual game? Sounds like it ccould be interesting, did I not already have a fuckton of 3DS games to finish. I downloaded Record Keeper and deleted it on the same day. Can't remember why.

Probably the 9 hour tutorial. It's like "now we have to do this. click here, push here, to kill enemies 'attack'. oh no you are very not strong! you must 'cure' yourself HAHAAAA"

But yeah, I'd say it plays like a game. There's strategy and some manner of story (though it's mostly nostalgia rehash of old stories) and there's difficulty levels and yeah it's not bad.

Give it another go, and do your best to trudge your way through the idiot tutorial.

It's not even in fucking Daravonese, what's the point?
