Is this out on home media in the US yet? Wikipedia says it was scheduled for Bluray/DVD release in late September so that's when I was expecting it, but it's already out here (Australia).

Wasn't it released in cinemas there first too?
It came out here a fair few weeks before America.

I think so, that was very unusual.

I just watched it on Bluray 3D on my Sony HMZ-T1, and I gotta say... I enjoyed that far more the second time than I did the first time. It's easily the best film of 2012 or me.

And I'm so happy to see Joss Whedon's name on something successful at last. The action in this film was creative in a way that superhero films rarely are, but also the even amount of character development each character had was fantastic. Cap could've done with a better costume, but if that's my only complaint then this film has done a damn fine job.

Ugh, Jesus. Finally got a chance to check out the special features on this Australian release and it's pissweak. There is a 6 minute featurette, followed by some extended scenes and that's it.

By all accounts, the US release is going to have a 90 minute documentary, which I'm probably going to buy because that's what I buy home theatre versions for, not just the same movie in 3d bluray/2d bluray/digital version/dvd version like all motherfucking goddamn fucking releases do these days for no good fucking reason.

That's why it's early, then. Less crap on it.
