Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 thread

70 hours in and I'm in October. This game may take me 100 hours to beat.
The further I get into the S. Links the more uncomfortable I get. It's nice that I'm consoling a dying young man, and helping out an athlete who's from a poor family and wants to go to college. However, suggesting and helping a little girl run away from home, helping your teacher feed her social problems through an mmorpg (like egging her on to ask you, her student out), or even telling a guy who's hamstring is going to rip apart to suck it up and keep going to Kendo club seems...sadistic.

That's the same opinion I had with the s.links, which put me off from doing some of them because it didn't feel 'right' giving the wrong advice in order to level your s.linkhimurokoken wrote:exactly. that's why it kinda makes me uncomfortable because you do all this stuff just to level up personasDoom wrote:Uhh, well you tell people what they want to hear.

Jesus Christ. The floor 145 (I think it is?) boss is hard. I've fought them a good 4 times now and can't come up with a way to beat them. Hmmm.
Maybe I should level up so I can get better Persona. Not that that matters, because they nullify your Zio immunity. Maybe I should charm them or something so they can't nullify my immunity. The heat wave attack isn't so bad, it's the goddamn thunder attacks that make the battle hard, because they buff up their magic attacks before using them. I bounce Heat Wave back at them with Attack Mirrors. I guess the whole thunder immunity thing wouldn't matter if I had a Persona or party member who had Dekunda...
Anyways, I tried the 5 Persona fusion...DAISOUJOU!
I can't make him yet because I'm not level 53 but...awesome!

Same here. Not having got as far as the rest of you I was still really unnerved by having to tell Hidetoshi that he's doing a good job when I really just want to let him get beat up by the other students for being a complete ass.Killey wrote:That's the same opinion I had with the s.links, which put me off from doing some of them because it didn't feel 'right' giving the wrong advice in order to level your s.linkhimurokoken wrote:exactly. that's why it kinda makes me uncomfortable because you do all this stuff just to level up personasDoom wrote:Uhh, well you tell people what they want to hear.

Well your pretty much at the end of the game if you are around level 70. The game is fairly long though and I clocked around 100+ hours on the first play through but a good 30 hours of that was idle time.Arashi wrote:holy crap, you guys are at lvl 70+?? I just started this game a week or two ago, I'm only six hours in but it feels so much longer. I havent dedicated myself to an rpg in soooo long.

Obviously that idle time wasn't consecutive.
The 30 hours was mostly made up of me either falling asleep while playing the game (getting 4-5 hours of sleep on a semi-daily basis was not a good idea), or I left the game on while I did other things like watch tv, made breakfast/lunch, or doing something on my laptop. It's pretty easy to rake up a lot of idle time.

um someone school on how to do end game becuz i'm worried i'm gonna mess up and haven't played in a month. I'm in november i've got 2 months until I have to complete tartarus and finish all the quests. I don't think I can do it, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed.
Plus how the hell do you guys get to level 80 or 99 or whatever.

I doubt you've been keeping up with all s.links so don't worry about clearing all of them in the first place plus you have a new game + game to try afterwards. Do what you can and put a bigger focus on completing the rest of tartaraus by the specified date. Reaching the higher levels is not a problem as long as you go through tartaraus. Once you reach the top floor a new area is opened up that you can access from the bottom floor. All the enemies in this area are much harder than those found on the regular floors but they give out really good experience so you can level up to lvl 99 rly easy. You can beat the final boss with level 75+ characters but I'm sure you could do it with lower level characters. Provided each character can nullify their own elemental and has a high level cure spell it's not that hard.himurokoken wrote:um someone school on how to do end game becuz i'm worried i'm gonna mess up and haven't played in a month.
