Final Fantasy to Streetfighter, Suikoden to Katamari Damacy, use this forum to talk about *GASP* videogames! The latest releases, your favourites, or ask for help.
Ha! Only the middle class could afford the 20 gig version anyways. I'm hoping you ARE at least middle class and not...ugh...POOR! Anyways, Daddy says money is easy to make so I don't see what the problem is. *sits in a hot tub full of money*
I'm giddy about this. I thought that the 360 elite justified the ps3's price point, and now sony's like 'OH YEAH? WE'LL MAKE THE ENTRY BARRIER EVEN HIGHER TOO!'

A friend of mine had considered getting a cluster of PS3 to be used for parallel computing in his lab, at some point, but the project was dumped... mostly because except for their Cell processor, the PS3 hardware isn't actually that great (fast proc for sure, but small data bus => stupid bottleneck)

Don't say such things. Kutaragi says it's the most powerful computer in the world, so it is. It is useless to pretend otherwise.
I'm gonna buy a current gen (60GB w/ Emotion Engine) PS3 right when they announce the new 80GB model w/o the EE... I need full backward compatibility for my ps2 games cause the laser in mine is crapping out...
yea, and it's kind of like...i'm back from the dead. kind of.
Can't they just add that in with firmware though? I mean they're removing hardware, not actually changing it. I thought that the upscaling would be delivered through FW to all PS3s.
