i dont understand really how the geostigma was cured, why was the rain special?

I think it was actually lifestream or something, remember that part in the church where Cloud's Geostigma is cured by the lifestream that pours out of the ground?

Actually, the Geostigma was Jenova cell's, that is why those 3 toons could posses the kids and make them look scary and do nothing. The water was Lifestream that cured the infection of the Jenova cell's. IMO.
Anyone has the logo on white background? I'd like to do some image editing, but i can't find it anywhere. Or the logo as an layer in PS is even better.
I think that Aeris is sorta like the planets ambassedor and when the planet was aware that humanity was doing something to actually protect it, it cured the geostigma. Maybe . . . or was it that geostigma wasn't the planets will, and just the presense of jenova? My question is why would the planet choose to cure geostigma when it did? Was it because jenova's head had been damaged/destroyed? Or simply because it needed cloud to stop sephiroth? I guess the real question is "does it matter?". Some guy probably threw the story concept together while on the shitter and drinking some coffee. They just needed some basic vessel to carry this visual masterpiece. ;)
I thought the children subplot was unnecessary. They should have had more screen time for the old cast instead, who gives a fuck about those Midgar orphans.

I also had a hard time discerning between double-blade sword long haired guy and gunblade long haired guy.

If it weren't for the fight sequences, AC would be utter shit. I particularly liked how they used some of the limit breaks. :E
