Damn, I just had a flash of recollection that The Life Aquatic (2G4) wasn’t well-received at the time, and indeed it’s only got 56%. I really like it (I’d say that’s not actually an unpopular opinion at this point), so it’s very close to being a perfect answer, but alas.
Going to have to search, as I don’t have any idea what rotten tomatoes ratings shit has.
Josie & The Pussycats is 53%. Close.
Anuvahood is 15%. Sorted!
Wow, and Get Smart (2008) is exactly 50%, and the older Get Smarts have *NO RATING*, that's how unpopular they are.
Wow I'm really winning this game!
* Johnny English (2003) - 33%
* Johnny English Reborn (2011) - 38%
* Johnny English Strikes Again (2018) - 37%
... racking my brain to think of all the other times I suggested one of my favorite movies and my girlfriend gave me a dejected sigh. That's probably enough for now.

I'm not sure this is an unpopular opinion either, but I agree it was good. Also, Josie doesn't deserve a 56%. Probably more like 75%.
75% is a good score, considering I didn't think you liked it.
The problem with it at the time is that reviewers really didn't "get" it. It's full of ironic comedy, which just isn't as common in America as it is here. I saw reviewers rating it down for all the product placement in it. Something which was clearly a joke, directly linked into the plot.
Some reviewers also slated it for being nothing like the comics/cartoon. I think it would have benefited by not being Josie & the Pussycats, but its own thing. I'm glad it now has a cult following status though, s it bombed at the box office and barely got a release over here.
I just watched a movie I liked last night that I looked up after and was shocked it had 43% on Rotten Tomatoes. Studio Ghibli’s Tales From Earthsea. It’s not their absolute best, but I really don’t get the negativity.

What?!! The Life Aquatic was good! This still doesn't count though.
Phantom Menace comes close but not quite. I actually liked the first one in that trilogy, unlike everyone else. It was what came after that was shit.
Oh. This is an old fcuking thread and I already responded to that post.
I remember when Phantom Menace came out there were people talking shit about it in school and one kid in particular tryign to convince me how much better The Matrix was. The Matrix was a shit movie (which is an unpopular opinion of the type xkcd says is more common).
