It owns. The combo system is so flexible and fun. The controls are perfect. Also the story is actually pretty good, as are the characters. And it's hilarious. What's not to like?

I admit the camera can be get pretty ghey at times, but that's rare.

But we both agree it's better than God of War rite?

DMC games would be a lot better if they didn't try so hard to be HIP and STYLISH. it just comes off as lame

i can't really say anything bad about the gameplay except that i lose interest in it pretty quickly

That's not that hard of a feat.

I don't like the camera much, and I think it's pretty hard to judge when/how I'm going to get hit. Is there anyway to block attacks as opposed to dodge them?

I'm gonna keep playing it, but Ninja Gaiden gave me a 99x better impression in its first hour of play (and a 999x better across its 20 hours).

Royal guard. That whole style is based on blocking/parrying attacks. But it's advanced. But the rewards are high. When you sucessfully parry an attack you get a stock. Level 3 Royal Guard has 3 stock levels I think (forgot). When they're full, you can take off about half or ALL of an enemies life. This includes bosses. But on the flip side, it takes skills to actually pull it off so not just anyone can do that shyt.

I find the game even clumsier than GOW. Is there anything I'm not getting? I find it so hard in those games to figure out who the fuck is gonna attack me, and from where, than an almost uncontrollable camera and optional block is a terrible way to design such a game. Booourns.

I don't think it's a bad game by any means necessary, as I didn't think GOW was bad, but I don't find it overwhelmingly good, and CERTAINLY not better than Ninja Gaiden, which own both up the ass in places deeper than what Garbo can even imagine reaching (think what hkk could reach except even deeper). I can't see in the life of me why people would think DMC3 is a better game than NG, especially since they are both, at the root, extremely similar, only that NG adresses the other two game's shittiest points, and has girls with extremely large breasts.

Notice the clever word of can and could in my previous sentence.

You do know that they changed the NA version right? The Japanaese version had these checkpoints and so forth but for some reason we didn't. Blame Capcom of America.

I played that game to completion and remember literally nothing about it outside the first ten minutes. I remember Velma teamed up with the Sephiroth Fembot when their ship got attacked and..... that's it.

My most vivid memory of this game is that I was watching a cutscene and fell asleep because it was boring, woke up 30 mins later, and the cutscene wasn’t over yet
