Will have to bring myself to watch the three again and see what I think in hindsight.
Episode I drinking game will always amuse me.

The expanded universe books have covered that.

Plus, Lucas has always said from the beginning that the story is about Anakin Skywalker. And Anakin/Vadar dies in #6.

he could always be brought back some how if lucas wants more money

The idea that we thought Episode III would be it for Star Wars movies.

We recently watched the first couple episodes of the 4-episode Netflix series The Toys That Made Us. The first episode is all about Star Wars toys, and from that perspective it also provides an interesting overview of Star Wars history. I recommand !

Command noted. I love how early on in this thread, the idea of the possibility of Lucas selling on the Star Wars franchise was pushed aside with a "WHO HAS THAT KINDA MONEY?"

Absolutely! It seems to be more common now for peoplento recognize Attack of the Clones was the worst, but I remember constantly being annoyed back in the day from everyone insisting Phantom Menace was the worst. I maintain that PM had problems (not too dissimilar from problems in the original trilogy, but worse), but was ok on its own. Biggest problem with it is it didn't lay enough groundwork to kick off a good trilogy.

Attack of the Clones is indeed the worst. But Phantom is still pretty godawful and I dont even really care much for the franchise to be too enraged.

I wish they'd just called it quits on Star Wars movies in 1983.

I'd say Clones is my least favourite as well now.

I definitely haven't. I've always found large sections of the original to be boring, so I've seen it less than the other two.

Episode 3 is really awful too

Just. So bad. I don’t know why some neck beards rate it so high.

I don't know who rates it highly but it does look better by comparison after ep. 2.

I'm pretty ok just calling the whole prequel trilogy a turd and not worrying too much about which piece of that turd is prettiest.

I've seen:

Episode IV - 10-15 times
Episode V - 5-10 times
Episode VI - 5-8 times
Episode I - 5 times
Episode II - 2 times
Episode III - 1.5 times
Episode VII - 1 time
Episode VIII - 2 times

Watched the original in a loop when I borrowed the video from a friend as a kid. Actually wouldn't be surprised if I'd seen it more than 20 times because of that.

Well there’s no worrying. It’s episode 1.

It’s like the yearly shit you take that doesn’t break apart and requires a single wipe. It’s still shit, but it makes you go “oh. I could use that one instead of all the other turds”

💩

There's a timeline where you're still watching it.

The most incomprehensible part of that is you were able to sit through Episode II a whole two times.

I had to watch it a second time because my kids were watching the Pt (except ep 3).

Episode 3 would’ve given them nightmares, but it I had to pick between hat and rewarding episode 2 I might reconsider my previous choice.
