Life is good for me. I collect frog embryos and harvest their genetic material, so in many ways, my life is a far less interesting version of Bioshock.

It will get a little more interesting when I move into mammalian cells.

... because I don't have a job, therefore I am existing on bare minimum money provided by moaning tax payers, meaning I'm not really living, more existing and it's driving me mad.

I really can't do anything other than surf the internet and job hunt. Can't go out, can't buy nice things, can't go see people. It's really getting me down. People say bad things about people on the dole but I'll gladly accept any job I get offered. I want to work.

I can't drive and don't have anywhere else to move to, so no, I'm limited to the immediate Lincoln area.
I'm just about to print off an application form for Admin at the MINISTRY OF JUSTICE, it's got to that point.

Problem is, jobs around here ARE crap. Like, temporary for 2 days, or 4 hours a week. Well whoop de fucking do there.

Nobody gets back to me either. Just Orange, saying no, and Boots saying no but your application was good. If it was that good, you'd be saying yes!

I once applied for Boots when I was in year 12, and got a reply telling me that they gather from my CV that I'm more suitable for a managerial role, and they don't have any currently.
I was a bit "wtf", as I was desperate for a job, and at that point had only worked as a part time assistant in Toys R Us and Argos.

Hunting for jobs is indeed soul-destroying, and I don't envy you.
It's a shame that you're stuck in that place really

In year 12 I was a Morrisons drone. They're still the only employee history I have and my reference from them is vague at best (It basically says ring them and ask for whoever is in charge of personnel) so I don't exactly have the strongest application/CV around.

I'm just hoping that the fact I can use legible English and can sell myself okay should be what gets it for me.

I actually spoke to a human today about a job. No more automated emails!

Still have to wait a few days before I see if my application goes any further. Fluffed up the phone interview a bit by stopping mid sentence "Oh sorry... I just lost my train of thought"

Still, the woman seemed to like my answers.

Because they were my local team when I was growing up.
Almost all my friends at school supported them, even though they weren't doing amazingly well.
Overall, they're a real team that worked damn hard to get where they were rather than having a billionaire owner who can basically pick out the best players in the world for his team, like it's some sort of football management sim.

I generally don't like Chelsea, Arsenal, or Man U supporters.
Amusingly, the place that hates Man U supporters the most is Manchester. Man U is a fake team, Man City is their actual team.

As for me I'm currently working in the Middle East. But not in a cool place like Dubai or Abu Dhabi, only in Doha, which is much quieter. Doha is to Dubai what Macao was to Hong Kong, except Macao >>>> Doha.
My job here is a lot more interesting though, and I get paid more than double what I used to earn with a cheaper rent and a much bigger flat, soooo...
