We're now on the final month of the year.
To me, this month pretty much serves mostly as a runup to Christmas.
With just a few weeks left until "the big day", it's all about running around getting presents, fitting as many friends in as possible, then making sure you're prepared for Christmas (with a little cooldown from Christmas and lead up to New Year afterwards).
Maybe the answer is "nothing", but what does the month of December mean you you? _________________

Damn, didn't realise Christmas is in like 3 weeks, I guess I should start doing my online shopping and I guess it's time for me to find out where the post office is if I want to send you some yummy food for your christmas dinner...
December doesn't feel like December this year for me as it kinda feels like 2G6 ended when I left London... |

They don't have years in China
You'll have to send your shit quickly if you want it here in time.
Just realised today that it's JD Wetherspoon's birthday in just a week
That's the other big date in December _________________

They don't have sundays in China, tbh
(At least when I was in Shanghai, it didn't seem to make any difference)
Anyway, yeah, December? Like you said, it's mostly about preparing... Xmas? Not that December 25th itself matters that much, but work-wise, end of December is my big-winter-holiday-break-thing... End of the semester, you know. Finishing lots of work that need be done before the next year. Like, spending all the extra-budget on extra-stuff. Preparing lessons for the next semester. Marking students works ... December is like, debriefing month.
Also, gotta visit friends and family here and there. More like a marathon than a holiday, sadly. Oh, well ... Still, it's a nice break from routine, ie something to look forward to _________________ And God said "I approve!!1 " |

My god.. This year went far too fast!
Christmas isn't the same anymore I can't make myself look forward to it this year. I guess I used up all of my Christmas cheer because last year I went all out and bought everyone a little something and had a fairly traditional Christmas day. It was good.
I hope the idea of Christmas grows on me this year... *sigh*
I don't usually make new years resolutions. But I think I will for next year. |

I like December.
To me it's about reflecting on the 11 months prior and about happiness and lonliness and friends. It's also about seeing how much more commercialised it can get (Flushed Away lights down Oxford Street this year).
It's cold and dark and we complain but we want snow as well. We want snow when it's 20C outside.
The week between Christmas and New Years is frantic and I love it. I love it when there's not let up from any of the partying and late nights and stuff.
That is what December means to me. _________________ eat more toast Everyone is gay except me. |

Last eyar's Regent Street Christmas lights were Ice Age 2 ones, a film that wasn't even going to be out for another, what, 4 months (and it was total shit).
Late January always seems to be snow time here, and it's actually pretty horrible
Rushing around getting out albums and stuff on the internet has recently been most of my December _________________

The memetastic entries are reminding me how much of a shitty year this has been for me, but at the same time making me very glad that many aspects of it have changed for the better since then.
I think of how upset, confused, random, emotional I've been at times, and in hindsight look back and realise that no matter how bad it seemed at the time, it was transient.
It reminds me that life is a non-deterministic and quixotic experience, and that every day can bring new things (good and bad). _________________ Dum dum dum dum ai-ai-aiiiii-a, dum dum dum dum ai-ai-aaaaa |

I see your point but unfortunately can't see things in the same way I'm not gonna blame it on you know what as it would be too easy but still, I currently don't have the ability to have a rationnal opinion on that even though I've been trying to change that since 2G4
One day hopefully... |

The month of December to me means getting paid dividends on my investments at the end of the year.
My life is pretty uneventful. |

It depends on what you invest in. I invested in a whole bunch of mutual funds with wierd, esoteric names. For all I know (which isn't much) I could have co-ownership of Enron. _________________ "When a man steals your wife there is no better revenge than to let him keep her."

December is usually a pretty fast month. I'm mostly busy with work and school finals. Don't have much of a social life until near the last two weeks.
this year's december = awesome xmas dinner, and bday, and plenty of rest. I'm turning 21 on the 28th! So I'm pretty excited for this month's December. |
