There's no way it'll be pushed back. The game's 100% finished and a confirmed launch title worldwide.

He's right. Stop talking about his spelling, as it's too off-topic and has nothing to do with games.

Do it in this thread instead http://www.squaregamer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=56343#56343 Check!

I am not arguing that American English is more 'right' than British English.

My opinion is that saying one dialect is more valid than another dialect for any reason is assinine. That includes correcting an American spelling something with -ize when that is the correct American English spelling of the word, or vice versa with -ise for British English spelling. It also includes stating that one or the other dialect is the "right route", when dialects are not subject to "right or wrong" style judgements because they're a product of societal drift, not a choice.

The Internet isn't subject to geographical restraints, though, so dialectical spelling differences will show up in the same textual conversation. However, since many more people speak and write American English, it is to be expected that we would see more American English spellings online than British English spellings. That was my point.

Also, that I find the fact that most American English spellings to be based on simplifications decided arbitrarily by Webster when he first wrote his American English dictionary immensely interesting, so I wanted to link the wiki article.

Thread officially derailed? :frank

That's quite terrible, really. Wikipedia is a great (though not always too reliable) source of information/knowledge. And most of it isn't even political Sad (and the non-political bits are usually the most reliable ones, like, the scientific stuff and so on)
They're missing out on some great, potentially profitable stuff (knowledge usually generating some $€£ at the end of the day)

It used to be available but yeah, political reasons + not 100% reliable = total ban

But I think it should be back in a few weeks/months, apparently it was back a few weeks ago but then got banned again for some reason... Guess they're working on some filter or something

By the way I kinda understand why they would ban it as some legends we hear about China are totally untrue or quite exaggerated (like, yes, you can actually visit Tibet, I could totally go now if it wasn't for the fact that I don't want to because it's freezing cold there from now til like April... )

Some legends are probably exaggerated, but by banning the site they're proving at least the censorship thing isn't a legend at all.
Chinese people (like any people) deserve more freedom.
Censorship/filtering => a government not trusting its own people to make their own sensible opinion by comparing different sources of information. That can't be good.

Well, tbh, some wikipedia articles are really highly questionable, I must admit (depending on which language/version you pick, too Shock).

Also, I don't think our so-called democratic governments respect freedom of speech that much, themselves (biggest difference probably being they don't send people in prison as easily... But censorship has other weapons)

I remember reading something that said the accuracy of wikipedia was found to be about equal to that of print encyclopedias, so not so bad....

I've read about that comparison too. Wikipedia got compared to the Encyclopedia Britannica or something. About the same number of erroneous info in the articles that got compared, if I remember well. But some claimed the errors where bigger ones in Wikipedia. And that the whole methodology used in the study was questionable. I haven't read that comparison thing myself, though.

I think Wikipedia is pretty accurate, and more importantly maybe, quite up-to-date, when it comes to objective, scientific (large sense: for instance, physical geography. But hard science, preferably) information. Also, the reference links provided at the end of every articles are usually quite useful.
But I've read a few politics/sociology ("soft" sciences? more subjective/ideological/controversial stuff anyway) articles that made my eyes bleed.
Still interesting, of course, coz you often get to see several interpretations/points of view if you look at the article's discussion forum.

It's pretty much internet stores only, and they seem to be already sold out in most places :/
I smell a game that should be kept sealed for future small profit Shock

Booked London yet btw? Want to know what sort of days to expect you (for possible Wii controller swinging fun).
