Download v0.9.2.0
2 Player NINJA SLAUGHTER MODE!
Both P1 and P2 play as Gunners and try to take out more ninja than one another! Who can pile deadly meat the highest? Who is best at snatching away life from the path of another player's balls? DECIDE NOW!
Killing a ninja gives 10 points. Each shot loses 1 point. Letting a ninja into your base loses 50 points.
First to 250 points wins!

- Fixed Timer bug with Pause in Cannon Barrage Mode

Made another game. Felt like doing a fun side project after my last final exam. Here's what's come of it thus far:

Description as follows:

CANNON BALLIN'!
Primarily a two player game, wherein one controls the cannon turret and the other controls stealthy ninja. As the ninja you want to take over the cannon, and as the Gunner you want to defend your base. Once the cannon is taken over the players switch roles.
NINJA ABILITIES!
Run! Jump! Climb! And use your stealthy ninja rocket boots! Get to the base to kick some ass and take control!
GUNNER ABILITIES!
Big exploding balls to rain down upon ninja! Aim, fire, and fire some more.
SINGLE PLAYER MODE!
Play as a gunner trying to survive a full frontal ninja onslaught. Feel his terror as the ever more vicious horde of ninja come down upon him. Share his exhilaration as he turns deadly ninja into piles of char grilled ground meat!
FEATURES!
- Destructible terrain that reacts to gravity!
- Semi-competent ninja AI!
- Randomly generated landscapes with accessible seed codes!
- 2 Player Ninja power ups! Refill your boost or call in backup!
- CARNAGE!
MORE TO COME! (eventually)
- More-competent AI!
- Further play modes!
- Gunner AI!
- Hi-Score tables! _________________ sensitive?

Stuck on scenery. I didn't have any gas and couldn't jump high enough.
I was probably doing something wrong though. |

Yeah, if you were trapped under some falling dirt I've fixed that so it shouldn't happen.
If you ran out of boost because you were using it too much... well, you're stuck. There are some power up crates that fall for the ninja randomly so you can get more fuel from that.
I'll probably put in a slow refill should the ninja have fuel below a certain threshold, that way no cliff is totally insurmountable. _________________ sensitive? |

Now with highscore tables, additional game mode! CANNON BARRAGE! Dodge cannon fire and assault the base for highscore!
Anyone give this a shot? CE did and it killed his FFXI connection for some reason.

- Added Joystick support (Joysticks must be plugged in prior to game boot, somewhat buggy)
- Fixed buggy walking animations on slopes

Ha ha ha. Holy shit that's some dedication. How come the highscore table didn't show up? I don't think you'd have busted it with that score.

| Yeah I don't know if the ninjas can cushion themselves on the body parts of fallen comrades but the set up I had there should have allowed me to walk away from the computer and reap the rewards of infinite death. However, every so often some ninjas would survive the fall. |

Tweaked the AI a bit, fixed a bunch of bugs, and removed ninja suicide points...
Or in particular:
v0.9.1.1 Changes
- Added Ninja Slaughter Mode to menu (incomplete)
- Added Base Race Mode to menu (incomplete)
- Revamped main menu
- Added crate, boost recharge and superjump options for 2 player modes
- Fixed spawn door blocking bug
- Ninja suicides in Ninja Assault mode no longer add to score
- Completely fixed dirt rounding errors
- Fixed Ninja stuck climbing when boosting _________________ sensitive? |

How was the game crashing when your ninja is spawning and all doors are blocked beneficial to you in any way?

the bug only affected cannon barrage and 2 player mode. Ai ninjas always left time btwn spawns so it never got into the loop that tucked the other modes. You'll have to get by on your aiming now I'm afraid.
I guess I'll release a CE edition sometime: a giant pit with respawning falling-to-their-death ninja. I guess that'd be a screen saver wouldn't it?

man, I'd love to make it net capable but I'm pretty shit at coding. With the way I've coded this the latentcy would bend you over and stuff you with a folded double ended thing.

what you mean? So far it works on normal keyboards, laptop keyboards, and a netbook keyboard. If it's a shit keyboard that doesn't register more than a few simultaneous keystrokes then it'll have problems. It also supports most game pads... But it gets a little screwey when the gamepads are added then removed within a gaming session. _________________ sensitive? |

No idea either fella. Well, if you manage to get a working keyboard or pair of controllers (xbox 360 ones should work) then you can try the next update with a brand new mode and such and such...
