Today is the day of love... apparently.
People taking out their other halfs to meals, love letters in the post, flowers, chocolates... and all because society tells you too

What do you think f valentines day?
Peronsally I think it's a very clever way of drumming up money for all sorts of businesses, big and small?
What better way to get somebody to buy something than make them feel guilty for not buying it?
Make a girlfriend feel that flowers = love and you sell a bunch of flowers.

This is my opinion (and it's not just because I'm not getting any today

), how abut yours?

It's nice if people do something nice for someone else. But it was surprisingly un-hyped at uni today (was expecting to have it all shoved in my face all day) so I'm not too bothered by the big deal that it's normally made out to be.

As a miserable cynic, I think the whole day is a pathetic sham.

To me, its seems to parade itself around as 'Love and romance ON THIS DAY'

If you love someone, why wait until the 14th of february to make over the top gestures about it?

In the past, I've found lots of significant days in relationships matter, things like birthday's, the anniversary of you meeting ect.

If you love someone, tell them all the time. Not one day.

If you do Valentine's like stuff all the time. They'll still expect something extra special on Valentine's day which would make it even harder to do the more you do at other times.

I don't need laxatives. Anything I eat is out the system in less than an hour. Digestive system playing up is NOT fun

hey it'll still be great for commercialization, instead of buying shit for other ppl you can celebrate being totally selfish and getting shit for yourself

That's because carnivores have meat rotting in their colon with their low fiber diets. Also, I used to be like that before I was veg.

Errr, nobody has ever bought me anything for V day (except Sally who sent me something last year love

) so I guess I should join the haters club

But seriously, I agree that you shouldn't have to wait for that 'special' day to show someone that you care for him/her. Though getting a little something is always nice I suppose ruroken

But personally I think the best gifts come for free when it comes to relationships, and for some reason most guys seem to not get that
