You search “avatar” on SG you probably just get loads of people asking why you don’t have one.
A housemate of mine back in 2G9 loved going to the cinema to see Avatar. He saw it 12 or more times. I didn’t get it then and I get it even less now.

I thought Avatar came earlier than 2009, but I didn't really pay much attention when it was released anyway.

The RDM has no interest in this. Seems to not to look all that exciting these days, and the other one was three hours of "look at awesome white guy be better than aliens who are good!"

They were talking about an Avatar 2 and 3 straight after the first one came out. You’d think they’d be able to roll them out quicker than they did it cash in.

Just dawned on me that I’ll probably see avatars too one day (at home). Funny that I’ve just thought “nope” until now. Saying that, I’ve still not seen any of Titanic outside of clips in other things.

Yeah I don't care about watching this at home at all. Only chance I expect to appreciate this brand is in theaters or Disney™ World park rides.

Hello, here's my thoughts about this very bland movie. As a spectacle I would rate it decently as the spectacle in it is decent to good, but everything else varies from mediocre to bad.

Here's a collection of what makes it mediocre to bad:
- To long why is this 3 hours 15 minute's.
- To many ad's before, not only is the movie to long, their was 20+ minute's of ad's before.
- Jermaine Clement is in it, but has an american accent and he looks just silly doing it.
- Unobtonairium (or whatever it was called) is now replaced by substance harvested from space whale's gland's
- Avatar now has its own Wesley Crusher, in the form of feral kid Spider!
- That feral kid is a human, and obv there's a plot point at some point where one the aliens (eg the indigenous) becomes savage - and I'm using that word very deliberately - and he's super concerned.
- The first action scene is - I shit you not - natives chasing a fucking train.
- I think this movie has a racism problem that's even more obvious than the original one.

In addition, this movie retreads literally everything from the original, except they somehow managed to have an even thinner plot for an even longer movie:
- The movie brings back the original's villain! Reincarnated as an alien.
- Sigourney Weaver returns! to voice a 14 year old alien who spends alot of her time wandering around. In water!
- The protagonists join a new culture and have to learn their way's! In water!
- The bad guys are back! except now they have boat's! In water!
- The plot is really non existent other than "oh look at these pretty things! in water!"
- All the exposition with the forest from the original happen's again, except now it's in water!
- The funeral ceremony happen's again except! you guessed it! It's in water.

Titanic Spoilers:
- a Ship sinks!

ONLY see this in theaters for the spectacle. Because it's what it is. It's a ride. It's a bad movie. Or don't. It doesn't matter. There's really nothing else to that movie at all.

One thig that even stops me from enjoying Avatar in a visual way is that I find the blue alien things ugly as fuck.

It’s basically a bad MCu movie with an original IP and really good SFX
