Shall I move it into the Undine forum then?
The Undine forum may be a locked archive forum though.

Undine is a mod on TBB. This thread belongs to Undine so it should go in TBB.

Is there a way to actually make a thread be on all forums (not like duplicate versions of the thread, but the same thread appears in the list of all forums so no matter which one you come from you see the same thing)?

I guess Julian Assange being arrested is pretty newsworthy. Heís been in that Ecuadorian embassy for a long time, must be nice for him to get out!!!

Incidentally, the film ďThe Fifth EstateĒ is pretty enjoyable, in large part due to Benedict Cumberbatchís scenery-chewing performance as Assange. Itís not a great film at all. But way more enjoyable than I was expecting.

Lots of the artefacts being removed reminds me of the Cutty Sark (old clipper ship and landmark of Greenwich) fire in London.
The Cutty Sark fire was suspicious as fuck though. The fire came very quickly after funding for restoration had been denied. It turned out that the ship was gutted of absolutely all artefacts days before the fire. Most of the upper sections had also been dismantled and were stored elsewhere. What was left was pretty much destoyed, but most of what burnt was the replaceable wood, leaving the structure intact. ALL of the CCTV cameras in the high surveillance and policed area happened to be broke on the day. The ship then got the funding for a full restoration to the plan of the denied one
Not saying Notre-Dame is the same case, but I was reminded of this.

I didnít know all this extra info regarding the Cutty Sark case, it does seem a bit dodgy.

Notre Dameís case is obviously different though.

Sad news, and we havenít even reached page 1163 in the other thread. Sad Tea

Anyway, when I think about what happened in Palmyra a few years ago, it reminds me that things could be way worse.

In other tea news, Iíve been drinking some delicious Japanese brand of tea recently: https://www.lupicia.com/global/

The newsworthy news part is that theyíre opening a US based store soon, in Hawaii.

At least that means being able to order tea online, in a language that I understand?

@Damien, you know I donít need to travel to Japan as I have my own private suppliers there and in CA, plus Iíve got Japanese friends here in NY. However Iíd still rather not bother them unnecessarily.

Letís see if anyone claim they did it in the next few days. Although apparently the Sri Lankan police knew something was planned and several cops got killed today in a house in Colombo, so they might already know who did it. It seems like an Islamist group might also be responsible, then again who knows. Looks like plenty of people could have had reasons to target the Christian minority.

Sad news really, Sri Lanka is awesome but now their tourism industry is f***ed. Sad Tea

I didn't realize Qdoba was already offering these sorts of meatless options.

Now I'm gonna have to do a Whopper vs meatless Whopper comparison, because it has definitely piqued my curiosity.

Unfortunately, the NRA's influence has to do more with its rabid, hyper-loyal membership than its campaign spending. But if its crippled enough that it can't even organize effectively, that WILL be something incredible.
