So the latest is that the house have voted to extend the delay to Brexit... by a single vote. Now it needs to be passed through the Lords, and then the EU. Means we may be taking part in European elections this spring

I havenít been to Barcelona yet actually. But looking at photos and based on films shot there, I would say itís not the nicest place in Spain, even if it does look pretty and does have a great distinctive culture.

Maybe itís just that the rest of Spain is underrated?
To me Sevilla is the most interesting Spanish city by far, but again my opinion doesnít really count and I admit Iím totally biased here.

Anyway, I would say all Spanish cities are worth visiting, since they all have distinctive features, a fantastic history and delicious food. But Sevilla and its complex history definitely stands out to me.

Have you actually visited any other city in Spain?
I mean, as in not Madrid, which is not a real historical city like you find everywhere else in the country.

While obviously Iím not gonna say Barcelona is crap, itís far from being the only place worth visiting. Unlike Montrťal which is basically the only place worth visiting in Canada?

Ok, Zaragoza is a bit bland. Madrid isnít great but it makes sense considering itís not a real historical city.

However, go to Leůn, Sevilla, Burgos, Granada or Pamplona. Alicante is also kinda nice even if itís not the same. Cůrdoba is a must if UNESCO sites are on your bucket list.

As a kid I also kind of liked Guadalupe, although it was a bit creepy and scary. Segovia was an ok city but I donít remember much from it.

Anyway, FYI guys: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_Heritage_Sites_in_Spain

I find it odd that a lot of the western world doesnít seem to realize how awesome Spain is.

A large portion of the UK European elections voters treated the election as if it were a Brexit referendum, resulting in the "Brexit Party" and Liberal Democrats coming first and second.

Labour should have temporarily changed their name to the Remain Party. No need for a policy change, just make it mean something else. ďWe remain committed to not being led by Tony Blair!Ē

Loads of people at work didn't vote in the actual referendum because they didn't know the implications of either in or out. I tried to persuade one person to then vote remain, as that means no change (plus he himself moved from Sweden and has a son and a daughter there, so remain makes sense for him more than even myself), but he didn't vote. Not withdrawing is less permanent than withdrawing :/

Either way, it's fucked up the country to the point where nobody seems to be looking at child poverty, mass homelessness and other terrible shit that's happening and are all focused on this one silly argument. We're now at a point where Boris is being tipped to be our Prime Minister in a few weeks and where fucking Farage could do well in a general election...

I feel sorry for you and for all the people who are held hostage in this situation. At the same time, even if they were misinformed, I kinda feel mad about all the people who simply didnít vote either way. As you said, voting for the status quo would have at least been better than not voting at all.

Above all, I guess itís silly that the result of a referendum can be taken seriously when a massive amount of people didnít actually vote?
