I've never played this game except I think a bit on ROM. Given how well loved this game is I'm pretty excited. Not excited enough to pay the almost inevitable Nintendo $60 price tag for an old game that was simply given the Secret of Mana treatment.

That's a pretty accurate description of how far I got in Skyrim. Most of the time I wasn't even trying to steal shit. I hate the interface in Western style RPGs.

A Link Between Worlds is actually my 4th favourite Zelda game.
Linkís Awakening is my favourite. I was obsessed with it back in the day and completed it about 4 times, back-to-back. Over the years, more and more people have claimed itís their favourite, so I always knew itíd eventually be getting remade. Iím not really down with the look of it though, but Iím sure Iíll get used to it. Itís now my most anticipated game.

Im totally ok with it. I just thought itís the sort of game that couldíve benefited from a BOTW treatment. Oh well. Iím likely buying it as it was my favourite Zelda until 2G17!

BotW as in huge open world? The map in Link's Awakening isn't all that big. I guess they thought about it, but making it too much like BotW would obviously get people drawing comparisons and viewing it unfavourably as a result. This is more of a release schedule filler than the next AAA system shifter.

Yes but can you imagine a re-imagining of it! BOTW on a bigly island with a yuge egg on top of it!

I don't think that'd suit Link's Awakening at all. Link's Awakening is better than Breath of the Wild, as it is.

Perhaps that's what they'll knock out next. From the comments section on social media, it seems a large portion of the current Nintendo fan base has never played Link's Awakening and doesn't really know much about it.

I very much dount this but I still question whether it wpuld be sensible to do it in BtW form. Seems like remaking it in that form woulsld probably make it lose almost everything that makes it Link's Awakening in the first place.

Yeah. It'd just make it a really small BotW and then people would be asking why it wasn't top-down/free DLC, etc.

I still think Ocarina of Time was worse than Phantom Hourglass. I guess Ocarina of Time would be worse if it were the same exact game but you could only use touch controls like on Phantom Hourglass.

I really forced myself to like OoT, mainly because of the hype and the fact I loved the series up until that point so much. I remembered liking it, but not sincerely. It seemed a bit naff, even at the time. Wind Wanker and Breath of the Wild are the only 3D zeldas I think truly match up to the 2D ones (not that theyíre all gray though).

I donít know, Iím asking you. Youíre the Canadian guy. All I know about the Canadian video games industry is that Ubisoft Montrťal is supposed to be pretty good, and their former director has just been poached by Google.
