Children's video game progress update: World of Ruin, all characters collected. Still have to do the underwater castle, Ebbet's Rock, and the Magimaster of doom before the end. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

Um....these don't sound familiar? I guess Magimaster is Fanatic's Tower, but underwater castle? Is that the same as the Ancient Castle where you get Odin/Raiden? Is that underwater? I know it's impossible to learn Water Rondo in the World of Ruin. And what's Ebbet's Rock again? _________________ The TBB offers you tea and biscuits. |

A lot of recent Disney movies have incorporated meta in-jokes that poke fun at long-recognized Disney tropes. Are the digs here more cutting than tongue-in-cheek? |

Ebbet's rock is almost certainly the wrong name for it. The place where you find the Hidon. The underwater castle is the ancient castle. It's totally underwater. No water rondo, though. That's Serpent's Trench only. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

I've enjoyed very few of the Disney animated musicals, and none of the remakes/rebrandings I've been dragged to see, and I'd like to delay my suffering a little longer until I'm a parent and become culturally obliged to a minimum 7 year sentence of sitting through most of them repeatedly. |

I probably like Disney now more than I ever have done in my life, so I guess I’m fine to be a parent on that front. _________________

The RDM's kids got over Disney movies pretty quickly. Battel had maybe a two-year run with them (centered on the release of Frozen) while the boy was never particularly interested. We are very lucky people. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

There are so many better Disney movies than Frozen D:
EDIT: Even just picking the closest obvious comparison, Tangled was totally better than Frozen. _________________

In 788 AD, King Charlemagne conquers Bavaria and incorporates it into the Frankish Kingdom. Duke Tassilo III is deposed, and banished to a monastery. _________________

I think I would be fine accepting it as the middle-tier Disney film it is if not for the absolutely insane heaps of undeserved praise it got. _________________

Hyperbole ruins many things. So does having to listen to "Let It Go" for the 500th time at a friend's house. (although, for a very good reason: that song was the auditory equivalent of Xanax for her toddler) |

I went to the cinema and saw it just after it had been released. Before it showed signs of being any more popular than any given Disney’s film. I enjoyed it and decided not to adjust my opinion based on subsequent hype. |

How many tiers are there?

Middle tier hot topic. (actually, I think it's a decent one that can generate some amicable disagreement and discussion)
edit: Boy, I am the least appropriate person on this forum to have this current rank. |
