So Shitey No. 9 is out and I've heard nothing about it from any of my friends, even those that paid a pretty penny to back its pretty much disastrous Kickstarter campaign. Anybody here touching it with a barge pole? Shaun? http://hypeup.net/index.php/site/news/kenji_inafune_plays_an_alpha_build_of_mighty_no._9

I heard it only runs well on PC, despite looking like a Dreamcast game.

Yeah. Different problems on both Xbone and PS4. I thought of backing this all those years ago, and am totally glad I didn't. May pick it up when it drops to £5 so I can try/stream it, but everything about it seems a disaster.

It doesn't look too good to me from some ads I saw. Haven't seen any reviews but I'm at least waiting until the price drops by 50% if at all.

True. It's probably not worth paying £5 for. I'll wait until it's free then.
The latest Kirby game on the 3DS was a pretty good platformer, btw.

Yeah. Well, he gets in a mecha suit for the last 1/3 of most levels and all the bosses are robots. It's fun and the Metaknight mode unlock you get after completing the game with Kirby is some of the most fun platforming action I've ever had.

I'll do it.

I have a morbid curiousity about this game.

I mean how does this game even make sense.

Is this a the Emperor's New Clothes kind of thing where in reality Inafune has been riding everyone else's awesomeness his whole life or something.

The awful shit Ive heard about this game makes it sound like Inafune doesnt understand basic game design...and how does that make sense?

It was about £3.50 over Easter, and I still didn't bite. Did pick up Yooka-Laylee (Banjo-Kazooie "spiritual successor)t hough, which actually appears to be quite good and hit the Kickstarter specification bang on the mark (despite the generally negative reviews).

It looked bad. Hopefully Megaman 11 is better. Not too hopeful after 9 and 10. Megaman 9 in particular was just a sadistic piece of trash. 10 was at least more reasonable difficulty level, but meh...

To be fair, I only played it because there was a PlayStation competition and you had to get 11 (I think) random trophies to enter it. I was a couple short, so loaded up a game I hadn't played before for two easy ones. That was MN9. I turned it off straight after getting the second trophy

You deleted the FFWA forums to make room for an SG update. (2G18 banners I guess?)

One thing I found rather curious about the MM11 demo was four difficulty settings from the off. I feel I'd be cheating to pick anything other than the second most difficult one though. Mega Man games shouldn't be easy!

It's a Mega Man game, so I doubt anything save perhaps the easiest setting is easy. Also, a lot of difficulty in Mega Man games comes from environmental type things that usually don't change with difficulty setting anyway. The bosses might be easy in the easier modes, but that doesn't necessarily mean reaching them will be.

The demo was pretty easy to get about on the default difficulty setting. I did still die first time through though
