Could they theoretically say "loljk" or are they past the point of no return? Didn't the rules say they had to be brexited by now?

Nah they could still cancel Brexit but I think everybody involved is too scared to test how leave voters might react/what Europe would think of the UK to even go there.

I can't imagine the people still on "leave" side would vote for anyoneother than conservative, nationalist, or outright fascist candidates.

Some people were genuinely fooled by the lies and spin from the various leave campaigns, especially the ones that claimed there would be millions a day going to the National Health Service instead of the EU. I only personally know one friend who voted for leave and his main reason is a vague fishing thing. He votes Labour in local and general elections and I'm pretty sure he regrets his referendum vote now.
