As LG mentioned Jidoor World in the other thread, it made me wonder about season 2. After some quick googling, I found this instead:

https://discoverwestworld.com/

We can see a map of the park there, though there's no scale. At least not on the mobile version of the site.

Edit: haha, I just noticed the chat bot as well. Choose your own adventure!

So is Dolores 100% Wyatt now, or will it come and go? Guess we'll find out.

True. Maeve is my favorite. Dolores looking crazy in the trailer just made me think about that.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing season 2.

Thoughts?
If the day from season 1 finale is Day 1, how much time has passed in Bernard's timelines? The one with the other girl is clearly day 1+only a couple of days, but the one with the rescue team is obviously happening slightly later in the future. How much later? From the state of corpses they found, looks like it's been at least weeks/months? How quickly does a corpse rot in Uthan/Arizonian climate?

Maeve's timeline is much easier to understand, I mostly wonder for how long they will keep that annoying sidekick alive.

Dolores' new timeline: not that many clues so far, although I was half asleep when watching it and might have missed some clues.

William's new plot line seems a bit boring so far. Let's see what they do with it.

It seems like it's turning into Lost meets Game Of Thrones or something.

Oh, for some reason it also reminds me of Les Revenants Season 2, to some extent. Probably the slight zombie/survival horror/end of the world vibe.

I don't think I know Les Revenants.

I do think the back amd forth time shift will likelt last throughout the season just like Lost. So it will probably take some time to see what drives Dolores to kill Teddy, what happens to Bernard's travel companion, and why Bernard started to say "I killed them." As always, Maeve's arc is interesting to watch. Not so sure about William either.

It's available on Netflix (The Returned). Don't watch the American remake.

I think Dolores will kill Teddy in some kind of event involving William in one way or another, since she said she now remembers things.

You should watch it. It's made by bad robots. Knowing this, I guess it's not surprising to see it become a new Lost this season.

I mostly dislike the last season because the flash sideways was pointless. They kept trying to fake us out like it mattered to the central plot, and it just didn't. It just tied into a shitty epilogue that could have been left out for all I care.

Back on topic, Westworld is still way better than Lost. I don't think they will manage to ruin it like they did with Lost, because the basic plot is much better to start with.

Damien, I think you would enjoy Westworld. At the very last for its excellent soundtrack.

You should at least watch Season 1, then we can talk about it again. Episode 1 isn't that great, but after that most episodes are pretty enjoyable.

Sooo ... am I alone in kinda despising season 2 thus far? Like, I really am struggling with it. Dolores new narrative is kinda boring, the guy playing Teddy is not a good actor, and the obvious setups for twists are a lil heavy for only two episdoes.

I really want to think it'll turn around and this is all on purpose but I fear this is going to end up like The Matrix.

First season blew my mind ... literally. I sat a meditation retreat after binging on Westworld and it really changed how I went about things. Made a lot of progress thanks to humanoid robot sci-fi.

I don't really like Season 2 so far. But I remember I wasn't a big fan of Season 1 Episode 1 and 2, so I'll keep watching in case it's just another slow start.

But yeah, when I'm saying it's kinda becoming the new Lost, it's not meant as a compliment.

Season 1 was fantastic though and there's still potential for Season 2. W just need to see more of Maeve, less of Teddy. Also Bernard was pretty absent from episode 2, I want to know what's going on in his narrative.

It's a little too early in the season for my opinions on it to really have taken form. Also, I hadn't even gotten into the show by this point in the first season. I'll wait until at least episode 5 before I can tell how much I like/dislike the arc it's taking.

This week's episode. What?! Elsie's alive?! ... Or not?! Between Bernard's memories being on the fritz and his mentioning something about printing another person, it's kind of hard to be sure.

About this particular point
I don't think she's still alive. There are several issues there:
She's acting completely out of character. She said he left her with just protein bars. How the hell did she survive? And more importantly: How did she manage not to poop herself if she was tied up like this for days? Or not even pee her pants?

So my guess is She's actually dead for real. Just like pretty much everyone else. They're all dead people who were somehow brought back to life,
for whatever reason.

Was there something about pooping in Lost?

I just meant that Them turning out to all be dead would make sense if we're going to have an ending ŗ la Lost. Maybe West World is some kind of purgatory like the island was.

Maeve seriously leveled up! I guess she's using the same system Bernard used to find Abernathy.
