This should all go in the Wikipedia article, to be honest.

In 481 AD, the Armenians revolt against the Prince of Persia. Well, against Persian rule. But that means the Prince of Persia, right?

Meanwhile, in 481 BC, the Persian King (former Prince of Persia) Xerxes I arrives at Sardis and begins to build up his army and navy for the invasian of Greece. Presumably in honour of how many years it would be until Christ's birth, Egypt contributes 481 ships.

What happened to Persia between 481 BC and 481 AD?? I'm afraid we'll never know.

Also a fun fact, 481 AD was the year 1234 AUC. That stands for ab urbe condita, which counts the years since the founding of the city of Rome.

We should go back to the AUC system. Just to screw with everyone.

He was a DDR/Bemani player (who later went on to make songs that appeared in the game). Lots of my new friends from 2004-2006ish we're in some way DDR/arcade people.

By the way, I had an interview with a temp agency today and they made me do an excel test. Funny as Sally said she had one this week and I've never been tested on excel before. Got asked if I wanted to do standard or advanced. Went straight to advanced and it was just creating a table, setting calculation and average formulas and working out some numbers. Wouldn't call it advanced at all. I was using pivot tables and concatenation every day in my last job.

The RDM had to do an Excel test for a temp agency ages ago, but they used some stupid simulation of Excel instead of the actual program, so you could only solve the questions the exact way they wanted. The RDM gave up after like two questions. They recommended he take computer literacy classes before they could place him.

Ew, that's incredibly frustrating. I wanna optimize shit!

Yeah my Excel "test" was just data entry, though I did have to tweak a range in the subtotal bc I added rows. Super high tech! Though it is good to know how things work so you can troubleshoot if things go bonkers. The most advanced thing I need for this job is an awareness of vlookup, which I now have.

I want to be surprised about how simple your "advanced" test was but this whole job thing is showing me how terrified of Excel people are. You'd think if it's such a common stumbling block that the work centre would run Excel classes or something.

I agree, Excel sux. Unless I'm forced to use it to collaborate with others, I'll pretty much only use it as a convenient tool to quickly look at a csv file or to make some quick dummy data or something.

I probably wouldn't pass an 'advanced' Excel test unless I was allowed to use Google.

Here, you can each have one.

It's an RPG wherein you play as a kid who builds robots and the robots fight things and you can turn into a mouse.

Well, considering I won't touch bitcoin, I don't think I want to mess with something that has an even lower circulation, of what like 10 people, tops, if you could convince all the regs and semiregs to use it?

The RDM made $40 by buying part of a BitCoin and selling it a week later. It was thrilling.
