Bit of a shameless plug here, but it's for a good cause.
Me and my friend Char get drunk and stream games on Twitch on a very irregular basis. A couple of times a year, we do it for Charity. There's normally a 12 or 24 hour show for either Comic Relief or Cancer Research UK in the Spring, then a 12 hour Christmas special for the homeless charity Crisis in December.
The show is called Talking Real and in the 4 years since we started, we've raised over £5,000 for these three charities by having a laugh with our viewers and being terrible at games.
Check out some random past broadcasts here: https://www.youtube.com/user/talkingrealshow (ignore that top FFXV one. That's just me on my own, sober and testing the PS4's on-board streaming).

Anyway. In two weeks time (April Fools Day), we'll be doing another 12 hour show for Cancer Research UK. It starts at 9am GMT and it'd be great if some of you lot from SG could pop by (we might even play SGRPG again). We're currently compiling a list of "hell games" to play each time our totaliser passes another £50.
Watch here: https://www.twitch.tv/talkingreal
Optional (but appreciated) donations here: http://justgiving.com/cancer17
A donation of £50 allows you to pick any game for us to play for an hour (troll us).

No. I have texted him and asked and his response was "haha ok " but he has a tendency to get sidetracked. |

Depends if any children are planning to watch (we won't do it, if there aren't), but we usually do it at some point between 12 and 3pm. |

The RDM will see if we can work the logistics of it. Battel would certainly get a kick out of it. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

I don't actually have FFIV on a current gen console. I have The After Years on the Wii partition of the Wii U though. Is that spoilers? |

Whatevs. The RDM wouldn't be terribly worried about spoilers given the nature of the thing. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

The only games the RDM's kids have any experience with are FFIV (and a tiny by FFV), Pokémon, and Fire Emblem (as of yesterday). _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

Show's tomorrow, starts at 9am GMT (the current time of posting, minus two hours and 16 minutes).
Gonna be starting with a can of White Ace cider (the first donation got to pick what drink we start the day with) and Overwatch. I'll be donating for each game we win.
Next us is the new Episode Gladiolus DLC for Final Fantasy XV. Wanna play this while still remotely sober.
We're also planning on playing:
-Breath of the Wild
-Super Mario Run
-Angry Birds
-Fire Emblem Heroes
-Disc Jam
-PewDiePie's Tuber Sim
-Some TERRIBLE PS2 games
-Disc Jam
-Nintendo Switch
-Children's Hour at 3ish, if chidlren are watching. The game played will depend on who's watching. Maybe FFIV.
-Persona 5, if it arrives.

All money goes directly to furthering the fight against cancer. The charity is called Cancer Research UK, but that's just the charity's base of operations. Their aim is to eradicate cancer within our lifetimes. Every day, a little progress is made towards eradicating cancer. Research funded by CRUK will help cancer patients worldwide.
If you can't donate, that's cool, you're still welcome to watch.

We didn't play SGRPG. Could have arranged to, if I'd known somebody from here would watch. I want to wait until the menu bug is fixed really, as the game is way too difficult if you can't change equipment. _________________

I guess I just wondering if there was some kind of official communication between Damien and the charity.
So it's more of just a straight faceless paypal like dump thing then?
That's fine too. Just curious |

There is totally a version with working menus. Look for one posted by QMark in the SGRPG thread. Or hold out a bit for the RDM to start working on it again. After his book launch. _________________ The RDM has been right: 261,888,403,527,033,189,124,446 times‼

Missed this. Last year, I chose CRUK after hearing of a few too many cancer deaths. This year, I did a Twitter poll (Comic Relief was the other option) and CRUK won.
It's more or less faceless, but they're a huge charity and Talking Real is one of thousands of events that happen every week. The charities we support do tend to send me thank you cards/Christmas cards and tweet us once or twice. That's more or less just a marketing strategy though. I'm not doing it for anything in return, anyway.

Oh man...that fucking game. My friend had a weird ironic love for that game. She was always trying to get people to play it with her as kind of a prank on them.
EDIT: Finished. You know what's sad? This is the only Animal Crossing game I've actually played.
Poor Mabel being called Sonic the whole time. |

It doesn't even count as an animal crossing game. No wonder it bombed! Places that sell Amiibos for £13 and a Wii U game for £30-45 are struggling to shift the 2 Amiibo bundle for £10.
I'm the mug that paid full price for it |

I'm also guilty. Gotta have those Amiibos.
I accidentally ended up with a dupe of Isabelle down the line when the gamestop teller insisted I was wrong and that this new Isabelle he had was different than the one from amiibo festival |

The only time I've ever bought from Gamestop went a bit like that as well. I had to convince the guy at the counter that an advertised offer that exists actually exists. _________________
