Go Playstation Move!

Sony once again a breath of fresh air and originality upon the industry. First with Heavy Rain in 2010, next with Playstation Move and its revolutionary motion controls and tracking.

Among the titles for the PS3's move controller, comes this innovative title.

Sports Champions will include half a dozen casual sports that can be played with one or two of the microphone-like Move controllers in hand.

On display at the event were Table Tennis and Gladiator, but the other games include Frisbee Golf, Archery.

I got a really good feeling about this. First the PS3 beat the 360 and now it will decimate its competition for the remaining 7 years of its life. I am very excited!

i finished it.
was good.

My Jayden died.
My Shelby died.
Everyone else survived.

Say what you want about the execution (both gameplay and story), but the story was in such a different direction than the rest of the industry that I really got involved into it. I played it in French, because the english dub sounded pretty awkward (and French ).

I kind of regret it though, I think it would've been better if I played it in Japanese.

Let's hope HR has a positive influence on the industry.

Will interact with this "game" again.

Well I think I'm far enough in the game to understand why they're both Australian, have a weird identical prefix to their name... but not far enough to know why she's important enough to be narrator.

I've also encountered the first big 360 problem. Nautilus is slow and jerky. Maybe it's all the people? But the camera seemed to shake as I move.

Also, taming Eidolons is a bitch. Just got flame lady with seconds to spare, hammering X hoping to win

Story-wise, Fang is by far the best character. Vanille is overall a far better/more important character than she may seem for most of the game.
Shame she's so annoying in the English version

Well, the problem with an involved battle system is you also don't want it to be too much work if you have to fight all the time like you do here. That's how it gets "boring." But I haven't grown tired of it yet.

Sazh is probably the best character but I have to personally prefer Lightning's personality.

As for the story, there is no point in making judgments before I beat it.

Snow definitely sucks, though.

Just want to finish disc 1 so we can have the same copy of the game running on all 3 of our Xboxes at the same time
Main plan is to review the Xbox version.
I'm going to play the game through again properly in English on the PS3 at a later date.

I've been skipping cutscnes, but Sazh's voice isn't how I'd imagined it would be. It isn't bad though.
I've listened to Snow the most, as when a cutsene starts with him I like to let it run for a few seconds and see if the first thing he says is SERAH (it usually is).

not really. i've read similar things. also notice how i pointed out i'm 6 hours in so it's not exactly set in stone.

Did anyone buy the guide, and is the US one the Piggyback Interactive guide now?

PAL regions have been getting the Piggyback Interactive guides since FFX (though they've made them as far back as FFVIII I think). I've got the Piggyback Interactive guide for X, MGS2/3/4, and the Limited Edition Tome for FFXII.

It's pretty sad that up until this game, most US game stores have only been selling the Bradygames guide. Those guides are horrible in quality, you can't even compare the 2 companies. Hell, Bradygames was responsible for the FFIX Playonline guide. And, Piggyback Interactive has always printed on high quality glossy paper, with much, much more detail in content, without skipping vital information that the Brady Games guides tend to do. I do have the FFX-2 Bradygames guide, where you get to chapter 5 and they tell you that in order to get a certain accessory, you were meant to have checked up on this area in the previous 4 chapters.

I have the FFVIII guide where Zell's Love Quest is completely omitted from the guide.

I'm glad Piggyback are now publishing for US stores now because they really are top notch when it comes to quality.

I bought the guide today and decided to pass on the game; I'll wait till it goes down in price. I'm really surprised at the number of people who are loving the game, although I didn't hate it until I finished it accidentally, either.

For some reason, people are super surprised that Hope and Vanille aren't annoying, even though they weren't in the Japanese versions to begin with. No one in the game is annoying, but nobody is memorable at all either.

Shows how little I care about the characters or the content of the game, when presented with the Limited Collectors edition today, and was told of the extras "Post Cards, Decals, Character Artwork and Sample Soundtrack"; I actually cancelled my preorder on the spot because I realised how little I cared about any of that stuff for this game in particular. Given any Metal Gear Solid game, or FFXII or something, I would definitely have bought it.

i find that Sazh sounds the most natural. With Lightning making the odd mistake and the rest sounding emo.

played about 6 hours and the battle system is boring me. mainly because all i seem to do is change paradigms and press circle over and over to stagger someone. it's all fast and streamlined but it's sending me to sleep.

I'm currently veering towards the end of disc one of the Xbox version (after about 2 hours play, skipping most cutscenes), and have to say that I'm noticing vast differences.
The textures in the distance are often jagged and jittery, even when installing there are (albeit short) loading times that you don't get on the PS3 version, the video sometimes looks shoddily compressed, and it's overall less shiny.
It's still basically the same game though, and had I not played the PS3 version as much as I had, I'm sure I'd have had nothing to pick at.

The voices seem a bit wrong, but again, it's probably what I'm used to.
The new names of the job classes and the terminology and stuff even seems wrong to me, right down to lots of text in my own lanuage being on the screen
