Hi everyone i have one question, in the middle of the movie when they brought sector seven up, were they referring to final fanatasy 7?

If you pay close attention to the background of certain scenes located in Sector 7 HQ you can see Grey Fox huddled in the corner, weeping gently into a bottle of Jack Daniels.
