The RDM has a job now, he's had it for about 2 months. It's a good job, he likes the people, he fucks around on the computer for most of the day, but he can see the actual impact he is having on the school district he supports, so it's actually pretty rewarding. The pay is shit, though.
This morning, the RDM got a job offer that's worth a bunch more money. The RDM would be working for a giant faceless corporation that manufactures weapons and the machines that carry said weapons.
He would be part of a tech department that numbers over 100 instead of just over 10. Every day he would have to walk past guards who carry assault rifles and he would have to fill out justification forms every time he left the country.
But it's a lot more money, more time off and better benefits. Plus there's upward mobility, where the RDM had none before.
The RDM is having trouble deciding if he should bite the bullet and take the better deal or stay poor with a relatively clear conscience.
Oh the dilemmas. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

Take the money ya muppet. Someone else will take your job and the worthwhile thing will still get done. Unless you are absolutely amazing at everything that you do then it makes no difference to the world in general which place you work at, if you don't take this new job someone else will and they will do it just as well as you would have. The only difference between you having the poorly paid job and the well paid job is that in the well paid job you have more money. Don't think that just because you can see good things happening and facilitate their happening that more of them are taking place, it's just you getting paid shit money to make them happen. If you really want satisfaction from your own input into the world then you need money so that you can decide what it's used for.
People are generally all the same so you'll probably meet another bunch of people you like, and if not there's 100 people there so some of them are bound to be decent, plus if you've got upwards mobility you'll leave the arses behind and keep in touch with the good chaps anyway, plus you can still keep in touch with the people you like from your current job.
I know it's nice to feel comfortable at work and all, but that luxury is really for young single people with no dependants, soon the RDM will spawn mini RDMs and will either be working in a job with good money and be able to give them nice stuff, or will have a job with shit money which he will no longer enjoy because he will resent the fact that his paycheck is completely raped every month by bills and responsibility.
Or stay with the other job, it sounds quite nice |

You make it sound so easy, but the RDM still has moral qualms about being involved in the manufacturing of submarines, the missles that go on the submarines, and all that whatnot, especially with how badly that equipment is being abused right now. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

The RDM has thought about that, but, well...
Assault Rifles.
All over the place.
The RDM doesn't want to be on the wrong side of an assault rifle. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

well, if you are only handling the rifles and not the munition, you have not to worry about getting on the wrong side of an assault rifle, I guess _________________ robertjoosencreativeportfolio. |

The assault rifles are strapped to Naval Officers.
The RDM doubts they'd let him handle them, ammunition or no.
At least not before his security clearance checks out... _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

I'd have thought you're relatively safe with submarines, morally speaking. They're a bit too expensive to use for killing civilians, much cheaper to send ground troops in for that. I would expect that submarines only really get used on enemy boats and subs to protect your country, or to fire nuclear weapons.... But the nukes thing isn't likely to happen. |

The RDM's father has already worked there for years and years, so the RDM is grandfathered in a little, but they still run a 3 month background check before they actually hire you.
Also...the RDM hadn't really thought about the submarines being basically useless in normal war thing. That makes it easier. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

Depends how many people hound them. Apparently Snake was supposed to be in Melee, but got crowded out, so they stuck him in Brawl to appease people. The RDM thinks the whole Snake thing was a crap idea to begin with, but he's looking forward to beating the crap out of a cardboard box anyways. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

I like the idea of Snake being in there, but I think Megaman as a sort of mascot character fits better into that kind of game. _________________ Yuka offers you tea and biscuits |

Snake being in there is a crap idea. How the hell do you sneak around in Smash Bros? That's pretty much the whole point of the fucking character. _________________ The RDM is responsible now.

That's the point of the MGS games, but it's not like the game is supposed to be all things for all characters. Snake also has CQC skills, which come in handy for Smash Bros. _________________ Yuka offers you tea and biscuits |
