As you may remember from previous posts I am nub/new/newbie etc etc. Lets all sit down with some hot tea and ya'll can introduce yourselves to me and the many other lurking nubs.
Favorite Color: Blue
Biggest Pet Peeve: Assholes
Favorite Quote: "I own you for eighteen years. And when you turn seventeen I know the end will be close, then I'll really start riding you!"-Homer Simpson
Favorite Book: "Flatland," pawns all.
Video Game that changed your life (doesn't apply if you hate video games): Final Fantasy Tactics. This game no kidding, changed my life. All other genre of video games were lost after I discovered this RPG.
Anime that changed your life (see above only put in anime): Evangelion. That messed me up. I was 10 barely knew what the hell was going on but it was stunning. I love how the anime has a different effect on you no matter what mood you're in and no matter how many times you've watched.
Where you see yourself in ten years: Nice job, surrounded by non negative people. After that it gets foggy.
What makes you better than ten years ago: Not giving a fuck about what people think. Oh yeah, I also learned multiplication somewhere in there.
Favorite Food: Something with a decent cut of meat in it, is teh win.
How do you rate this survey: Kinda long, but I can totally tell the author is a doll face.
Any other comments or questions: I don't think anyone else is gonna fill this out.
Soooo, just copy and paste, and write away. You know you want to. Hey, I'll even let you skip some of the questions. |

Favorite Color: Black
Biggest Pet Peeve: Rudeness
Favorite Quote: "That was so terrible I think you gave me cancer!" - Calculon, Futurama
Favorite Book: Future Eden
Video Game that changed your life (doesn't apply if you hate video games): Sonic The Hedgehog
Anime that changed your life (see above only put in anime): Gundam Wing. I religously got up at 5am just so I could watch it on Toonami.
Where you see yourself in ten years: Doing something involving computers, hopefully living in Leeds and being a famous face in all the gay bars/professional faghag.
What makes you better than ten years ago: I have friends now!
Favorite Food: Pizza. Fish 'n' chips. A good curry.
How do you rate this survey: Okay.
Any other comments or questions: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuchk could chuck wood?

Favorite Color: Green. Green like a Christmas tree.
Biggest Pet Peeve: There are so many, it's very hard. I have a lot of grammatical pet peeves. Also, I really, really hate it when people smoke in front of me in areas where it's hard to get around them without passing really close to them.
Favorite Quote: "I don't even know what a reunion is" - Cloud, FF7..... Okay, not really, but I can't think of my favorite quote right now.
Favorite Book: The Brothers Karamazov
Video game that changed your life: Well, I suppose everything you do has some affects your life in some way. I don't know if i think any game drastically changed my life though. If I were going to choose, I'd pick either FFIV or FFVII. FFIV pushed my taste in video games firmly into the RPG sphere, because it was the first time I saw that level of storytelling in a video game. Before FFVII came out, I had been growing bored with video games, so if it weren't for that, I might not still be playing games today. Still, I'd probably waste an equall amount of time on something else, so it doesn't make that much difference. Of course, who can tell? There may always be unforeseen effects.
Anime that changed your life: Trigun. Well, I already had the same philosophy on life, but it helps reinforce it.
In ten years: It would be nice to have conquered the world. Otherwise, probably I'll be some sort of monk or hermit. I certainly don't want to submit to some niche society has prepared for me in its capitalist agenda.
What makes you better than ten years ago: Ten years ago, I drank my tea with a lot of sugar in it. Now I've learned to enjoy the pure flavor of tea on its own. I'm not above sweetening it sometimes, but I can always enjoy the tea apart from any other flavors.
Favorite food: Is tea a food? I don't know, maybe watermelon.
How do you rate this survey: It's okay I guess. I don't really care for the anime and video games that changed your life questions. They seem much more specific than the other questions. They don't seem to belong in such a general survey. _________________ Yuka offers you tea and biscuits |

Favorite Color: Blue
Biggest Pet Peeve: Arrogance
Favorite Quote: "Nobody fucks with the Jesus!"
Favorite Book: Any of the Harry potter books, I dont read enough
Video Game that changed your life: Half-Life. Loving memories of playing Half Life at 10 years old and I still play it once in a while. It was the first game where I felt I was actually in somewhere that could actually be real. I cant wait for the community remake.
Anime that changed your life: Adventure Kids. It was horrifying and ill never forget it.
Where you see yourself in ten years: Post-uni student with a comfy job.
What makes you better than ten years ago: Developing my confidence and being more outgoing, I was always a bit reserved even as a child, and still am to an extent.
Favorite Food: Ooooo, difficult. Ill say olives for now.
How do you rate this survey: Questions are not that varied and seem to reflect on very specific topics.
Any other comments or questions: Daytime TV is horrible. |

I dunno exactly. Just thinking about sitting down to fire up the ol' Megadrive just seems so far away in these days of PlayStation 3's and Microsoft consoles.
Back then, 3D was a dream within a dream. Kinda. |

Yes.
But that wasn't my point. I was on about the passage of time hardwear wise.
Newbie was 10 when she played Half Life, and when I was 10 I was playing Sonic.
You see? |

I didn't play games all too much when I was 10.
It would have been in 1991/1992, so I'd probably be playing a Gamegear game around that time. _________________

Favorite Color: Orange
Biggest Pet Peeve: Honestly? The RDM doesn't know. There are many. He hates crowded elevators above most other things, though.
Favorite Quote: "More a question than a curse: How could hell be any worse?" - Bad Religion
Favorite Book: Breakfast of Champions, probably.
Video Game that changed your lfe: Secret of Mana? Xenogears?
Anime that changed your life: Akira. Or, if you want to go back a little farther and make things a little more confusing, Sailor Moon.
Where you see yourself in ten years: The RDM'll probably have a kid by then, and he might even have a job.
What makes you better than ten years ago: The RDM is much bigger than he was ten years ago. And he can do many things that he couldn't then.
He might have been smarter as a child, though.
Favorite Food: Mexican and Irish in combination. Tacos and MAshed Potatos FTW
How do you rate this survey: -12

When I was 10, the games of note were things like Dizzy on the Amostrad CPC/ZX Spectrum/Commodore 64.
The Megadrive wasn't even released for another 2 years or so. |

But seriously I don't get it. If I remembered that stuff, I'd be rubbing it in all of the video game newbs faces. Which I already do. It is part of video game culture to make fun of each generation of 10 year olds and younger. I mean I'm only 16 and I'm pretty prehistoric for remembering putting cartridges into slots.
That's why I make fun of those bastards any chance I get. |
