No its not that at all its that i live in most likelly one of the smallest unknown towns in the United States...BTW im on book #6 and im haveing a good time with it almost done im at the last few pages...got gay after the thing where is is confined and "that thing" happens

Has anybody read the end of the manga or watched the last eppy of the anime? Well I have watched eppy 37 (aka the finale) and:

To me it was really rushed. Light manages to be this super genius who outsmarts the great L and even get him knocked off. And then mini Ls (Near and Mello) manage to not only one up him, but completely humiliate him and send him into a blind psycho rage? It just was so out of character to me and rushed. But the show started getting unrealistic way before then when Light suddenly is able to trust so many people to do his bidding for him. Man, that was weak. It was kinda like, "Oh shit I forgot this show has to end. Light has to die and stuff." Boom

I wasted 8 weeks of my life there.

Yeah, Death Note's ending sucks. You can't really do much about it.

It's fine that Light has to die, but I don't think ANYONE buys the notion that he could be outsmarted by Near, who has no business being anywhere nearly as good as L.

I actually enjoyed the anime ending more so then the manga ending. It had a nice touch to it but it lacked a proper conclusion in comparison to the manga. However, this might change with news that the series will re-air in Japan in prime time with additional footage.
