| Don't pay much attention to the first few episodes and defenitely don't give up. You'll see how much of a better show this is when you get into the real "meat" of the show. |

@ Samurai Champloo 16
Samurai Champloo 16 is another two-parter, probably has to do with the fact that it will be switching networks after the 17th episode. Anyways, finally starting to get bits and pieces of the samurai who smells like Sunflowers. Highlight of this episode is the guest appearance by Ohtsuka Akio who plays Batou in Ghost in the Shell and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
Melody of Oblivion keeps getting better and better but I just hope that Gainax doesn't botch the ending like they are so well known for.
Mahou Shojoutai Arisu has got me really hooked and I really hope somebody licenses this series. The animation, music, and the zany atomsphere of the series is just great plus the character designs are really good. However, the most important thing is that it has a very interesting storyline and characters. Didn't someone say that this anime is being done by a very small group of people? I guess that would explain the 4 week wait between episode 17 and 18. |

To try not and scare you off because of what John said, Gundam Seed is not your average Gundam. It has lots and lots of depth. And tons of great characters too.
I know there are lots of Gundam haters out here, and somehow, they all seem to love Seed. Odd huh?

| Seed takes the best aspects of every Gundam series and combines it into one amazing Gundam anime. You can see the similarities in previous Gundams but Seed just manages to capture the same greatness. |

It's such a shame she had to leave, because she was clearly the best character that wasn't Yumi or Sachiko. Her character makes the entire show elevate from that "good/great" level to "amazing" for me. It's possible, when this is said and done, I'll have a new favourite anime. |

Yeah, I'm sure she'll be back at the end though. Her new haircut (that you'll see in s2 ep 6 or 7) is interesting.
Mikey, I think I would actually use a Sousuke/Chidori sig, but they both have to be in it. I figure you have plenty of ammo for that?

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I've already watched up to episode 7 (it was episode 6), and I figured her hair would be even shorter. The first time I saw her, I thought she was Rei.
Also, the first person in that shot of the University cafeteria looks so much like Yukari-sensei it's uncanny. |

Just finished watching Paranoia Agent (yeah, I'm really behind of that series) today and that was a really messed up ending but it was good. Can't wait for the DVD's.
Does anybody know how many episodes Otogizoushi is suppose to be? Judging from the current episode it looks to be only 13 episodes long, which is kind of dissapointing as I wanted to see more from this series. |

The only Rumiko series not worth watching is Ranma.
The rest of them are totally worth it.

I like Ranma too, but the anime is god awful.
In my opinion it goes in this order:
Maison Ikkoku
Urusei Yatsura
Inu Yasha
Rumic Theater
Ranma
MY personal tastes however:
Urusei Yatsura
Maison Ikkoku
Inu Yasha
Rumic Theater
Ranma

Urusei Yatsura is just flat out my favorite anime ever. Ever. I mean flat out fan boy extreme favorite. I haven't seen it all (it's impossible to find) but there's just this charm to it (in both anime and manga form) that has kept me glued to the tv or computer watching it endlessly.
I think the voice of Ataru is the best voice I've ever heard (can't describe, it's just crazy and I love it), the sound of Lum flying has me giddy, the way Takahashi draws them is adorable, and the way the entire cast can just bounce off of one another effortlessly in EVERY DAMN EPISODE is something I've rarely seen done (save Azumanga).
Ah, I'm floating off again .
That's my reasoning though. Maison Ikkoku is probably her best work, and ironically the only one with the no cracked alien, super powered, hi-jinks of that sort either. I love it because in practically every other anime she's done (save RT) there is an element of romance there, but it's put on the back burner for most everything else; action, comedy, and so on. In MI she manages to make romance a HUGE (if not the most important) aspect whilst being able to factor in everything else she's known for.
As with Inu Yasha, well it's the characters again. Yes, the plot has had its points where it's dragged on, but when the show does focus on its characters, and progresses them, it's just unbeatable for me. The sense of humor is great too. I loved the three monkeys episode, that was gold, as was the drunken hot springs.
Right, I'll stop now.
